Bells

St Mary Magdalene have a peal of six bells which are rung every Sunday morning.

The bells date from 1759 and were cast at Whitechapel by Lester and Pact. Nos 3 and 5 were recast in 1887 as a memorial to Queen Victoria, while the new tenor bell was dedicated in 1947.

We have a team of ringers who practice on Monday's between 7:30 and 9:00 p.m. Anyone wishing to ring or learn to ring is most welcome! Please contact us here and we'll put you in touch with David Hall, the tower captain.
